Frank Loch  represents an unusual mix of talents. A member of the George Washington University Virginia Campus Advisory Board, Mr. Loch serves as Vice President of Stanford Telecom's Advanced Communications Systems Division, at the GWU  University Center adjacent to the Virginia Campus. His professional career has also included  technical and management positions with NASA and the CIA. As a member of NASA's Apollo team, Mr. Loch sat at mission control when astronaut Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. His  education includes degrees in math and science, and he is an alumnus of the Senior Executive Fellows Program at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.

As for his passion for music, Mr. Loch began formal piano study at the age of 6. In 1976, Mr. Loch won first place in the Yamaha National Electone Festival and represented the United States in the International Festival in Japan later that year. Mr. Loch has been composing music for electronic keyboard for the past 22 years and has produced an extensive library of work including etudes, preludes, meditations, ballads and many other solo works.

In 1980, he met Lenna Reid who became his long time partner in teaching and performing. In 1989, Mr. Loch and Ms. Reid established Symphonic Music Systems in Reston Virginia, a music studio dedicated primarily to the instruction of electronic keyboard. Mr. Loch and Ms. Reid have performed throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area and in New York City, and have recorded "Hieroglyphs", an earlier CD of  Mr. Loch's original works.  In the "Awakenings" CD, the track "Transformation" has previously been recorded with the Krakow (Poland) Philharmonic  with Frank Loch and Lenna Reid at the Electronic Keyboards.

Mr. Loch and Lenna Reid performed the "WILD FUSION" concert on June 23, 1999 at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington DC. The "WILD FUSION" concert was a "Collaboration of  Music, Art and Technology". At the keyboards were Frank Loch and Lenna Reid. Original Art was projected on a theater size screen during the performance. The visual and  music performances were arranged in a synergistic combination that heightened the emotional perception and enjoyment of both by the audience. Slides made from original paintings by Sayeh Benham and original Astro Images of  Deep Space objects (some of which had been computer "painted" into original Art images by J. Frank Loch) were combined with the music, creating an exciting "Multimedia" experience for the audience!

Mr. Loch and Ms. Reid  performed and recorded "Remembrance" in Warsaw Poland on September 9th 1999 with the Warsaw  Philharmonic Orchestra on the 150 th anniversary of  Frederick Chopin's death. Again on September 11th, they performed in Concert "Remembrance' before a Warsaw audience.

Later this year (2000), Mr. Loch and Ms. Reid will record a new composition composed during the Fall of 1999 as a memoriam to Grayce Loch (wife of J. Frank Loch) who passed away two weeks before the "Remembrance" concert in Warsaw. The new composition is titled  "Breakthrough". Breakthrough will be recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra in the famous "Abby Road " studios in London.

Mr. Loch resides in Reston Virginia with his wife Nora and their three children and one grandchild.                                                               WB00853_.GIF (287 bytes)

Lenna Reid, a graduate of George Washington University,  began studying the piano at the age of four and has competed in many local, regional and national music festivals. Over the years, she has earned a number of honors, including first place in the Youth II Division of the 1982 Yamaha National Electone Festival. Professionally, Ms. Reid currently serves as deputy director of the National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information.
